beautyofourownreality asked: I've had my lip ring for about 3 months now and when I went to change the jewelry a few days ago I couldn't find the exit and ended up scratching along the bottom inside of my lip a bit and now it stings everytime I spin it. It's not red or swollen and no puss or anything is coming out, it just stings even after I clean it. Is it just irritation or infection?

sneu asked: No, I did not pierce my nose myself. I did have an excellent professional piercer do it. There is no sign of a bump, but the area around the jewelery feels hard. It is not soft like the rest of my skin, but is firm when i touch it. I will keep doing the sea salt soaks, but was wondering if this was normal and if it would stay like this even when completely healed. Thanks!
